Services for Camille Leuty Paardekooper, 94, who died December 1, at the Urbandale
Health Care Center, were held December 5, 1994, at the Presbyterian Church in Knoxville.
Burial was at Graceland Cemetery in Knoxville.

The Rev. Kenneth MacLeod officiated at the services. Music was provided by James
Kidder, organist, and John Crawford, soloist. Pallbearers were Lee Moon, E.L. Moore,
Dean Sadler, Bill Hardin Jr., Willard Prather, and Dr. E.V. Feldman.

Camille was born September 20, 1900 in Percy, the daughter of Walker and Lois Harkin
Leuty.

She was united in marriage to Gerald Walter (Pardy) Paardekooper, in his parents'
home in Pella. In 1932, Pardy was elected Marion County Auditor and the couple moved
to Knoxville.

Following the death of her husband, she continued to make her home in Knoxville,
then Des Moines to be near her daughter. She was a member of the First Presbyterian
Church of Knoxville, Daughters of the American Revolution and the Order of Eastern
Star.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gerald; a brother and six
sisters.

She is survived by a daughter, Martha Kay Beem of Des Moines; a brother, Ely Leuty
of Orlando, Fla.; two grandsons, and two great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Presbyterian Church of Knoxville.
