Funeral services for Dorothy Elizabeth (Dixon) Owens, who died June 10, 1976, at her home in Tulsa, Okla, were held June 15 at Richardson Funeral Home in Carlisle with Rev, Charles Gilbert officiating.

Burial was in Carlisle Cemetery. Casket bearers were George Laverty,
David Wright, Howard Goodhue, Don Schooler and Joe Dwigans. Ethel Leslie was the organist.

Dorothy Elizabeth, daughter of Frank and Grace Kading Dixon was born June 17, 1921.

She graduated from Knoxville public schools and received her B.A. degree from Drake University.

On June 9, 1951 she was united in marriage to Robert Owens, making their home in Kansas City, Mo. And Tulsa Okla. She taught schools Iowa and Colorado.

She was a member of P.E.O., DAR and Asbury Methodist Church in Tulsa.
She was preceded in death by her father. She is survived by her husband, one daughter, Mary Elizabeth; one son, Robert Jr,; her mother, Mrs. Grace Dixon; and one brother Donald Dixon.
