Memorial services for Donna Lea (Louwsma) Baker, 38, of Boone, who died March 15, 1997 at the Mary
Greeley Medical Center in Ames, were held March 19, 1997, at the Stark-Welin Chapel
in Boone, with Andy Crim officiating.
Donna was born July 4, 1958, in Knoxville,
the daughter of William G. and Ruth Burdick Louwsma. She graduated from Knoxville
High School in 1976. She was currently employed at the Hilltop Greenhouse in Ogden.
She was active in the American Kennel Club, and won many awards over the years showing
dogs. She was also a longstanding member of the American Rottweiler Club, and Medallion Rottweiler Club.
She was united in marriage to William K. Baker on April 23, 1983,
in Kimberling City, Mo. She was preceded in death by her grandparents; her mother,
Ruth; and stepmother, Elsie Louwsma. She is survived by her father, of Knoxville;
her husband, of Boone; a son, Eric Enfield of Boone; and a brother, David Louwsma
of Oskaloosa.
Memorials may be made to the Boone County Humane Society. Arrangements
were made by Stark-Welin Funeral Directors in Boone.
