Memorials to Iowa Health Hospice. Deloris JoAnn (Guthrie) Cooper was born December 6, 1938 in Harvey, Iowa to William and Myrtle Mantz Guthrie.
Jo passed away at her home surrounded by family on January 7, 2011 at the age of 72. Jo worked at the Knoxville VA and then at Pella Corp retiring from there after 23 years. She enjoyed fishing, reading, gardening, and traveling.
Her family will remember her great cooking and baking and the candy at Christmas time. Jo loved to spend time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her companion, Dave Kauzlarich; her children: Kelly (Sabrina) Cooper of Carlisle, Mark (Sherri) Cooper of Cedar Rapids, and Roxanne Lowe of Chariton; grandchildren: Lisa (Jason) Harvey, Nicole Curtis, Joseph Cooper, Benjamin Cooper, Samantha Iddings, and Luke Iddings; great grandchildren: Jaide, Laney, Threalynn, and Rylee; sister, Helen Goodwin of Flagler; and many relatives and friends.
Jo was preceded in death by her son, Daniel Cooper; parents, Bill & Myrtle; siblings: George Guthrie, Billy Guthrie, Francis Siebert, and Marjorie Guthrie.
