Funeral services for Rev. Darrell Wayne Elliott, 44, of Garrison, North Dakota, who
died, November 23, were held November 26, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Garrison,
North Dakota. The scripture was read by Pastor Popejoy along with a message from
Sara Saylor.

The Eulogy was given by Larry Moll, well as a Remembrance given by
daughters and Marilyn Garrett. Burial was November 27 at the Beulah Cemetery in Beulah,
North Dakota. Music was provided by Sharon Reynolds, organist, and solist Lydia
Moll. Pallbearers were Gary Bovkoon, Rick Fetzer, 14/han Moll, Harold Mautz, Mel
Hofer, and Mike Dammen.

Darrell was born October 22, 1955 to Charles and Betty (Powell)
Eilliott in Peoria, Illinois where he lived until he was 11, when they moved to
Knoxville, Iowa. He graduated from Knoxville High School in 1973. He attended Northwest
Bible College in Minot, ND, graduating in 1977 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree.

Darrell
married Vandra Lee Buechler, daughter of Calvin and Caroline Buechler of Golden
Valley on May 25, 1975. They then moved to Mitchell, SD, to pioneer a church.

He
received his ordained Minister's license July 13, 1982 from the Church of God in
Ceveland, TN. In 1983 they moved to Garrison, where they have been pastoring the
Church of God. He also began pastoring the Riverdale Community Church in September
of 1995.

Darrell held many positions in his denomination, including State Youth
Board, Regional Council, Chairman Ministerial Creedentialing Board. He loved youth
ministry and directed or was the athletic Director at three Bible Campus each summer
for approximately 20 years. He also directed the Total Life Center in Garrison.

He was active in many community activities including, Gifts from the Heart, past
president for the Chamber of Commerce, Trade Promotion for Garrison, Community Chest,
David Core of Knoxville, Iowa, and Denny (Pam)
BAIA, Salvation Army, Garrison's Fishing Committee, and most recently, several organizations
to give assistance to area flood victims. He enjoyed helping farmers and being outdoors.
He was currently taking Law Enforcement Chaplaincy Training.

He was preceded in death by his father.

He is survived by his wife, Vandra, four daughters, Marcy Elliott,
Aberdeen, SD., Jessica Even, Aberdeen, SD.,Laca Elliott, Garrison, ND, Carole Simpson,
Indianapolis, Ind.; two grandchildren, Ethan and Chelsea Simpson his mother, Mrs
Betty Elliott, Knoxville, one sister Cheryl Byerly, Ainsworth, Iowa; and one brother
James, Knoxville.
