Corwin Worth “C.W.” Mott was born July 12, 1927, in rural Knoxville the son of Worth
and Irene (Chrismore) Mott.

He graduated from Knoxville High School with the Class
of 1945. Following graduation, Corwin worked for the Bellamy Telephone Company.

On October 15, 1948, he was united in marriage to Phyllis June Clark. In the spring
of 1949 Corwin and Phyllis moved to New Virginia, where he worked as a hired man
until 1955. The couple then moved to a farm south of Knoxville until 1963 when they
moved to their farm south of Pleasantville. Corwin farmed with his brother Benny
for 45 years until he retired in 2009.

Corwin and Phyllis enjoyed square dancing
and ballroom dancing for 21 years. Corwin was also a square dance caller. He and
Phyllis made many of their dearest friends while attending dances. Corwin was a
farmer at heart and immensely enjoyed every day on his farm and in the cattle lot.
He will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend.

Corwin
passed away on Sunday, July 10, 2011, at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center at the
age of 83 years, 11 months, and 28 days. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Those left to honor his memory include his loving wife of 62 years, Phyllis; children:
Roger (Jan) Mott of Knoxville and Pam (Merrill) Goering of Pleasantville; 2 sisters:
Sally (Abe) Synhorst of Knoxville and Marilyn Hale of Albuquerque, New Mexico; brother,
Benny Mott of Pleasantville; 6 grandchildren: Melanie (Aaron) Hurt; Alaina Goering,
Amy (Jon) Guy, Alyssa Goering, Emily (Kale) Sparling, and Janie Heide; 2 great-grandsons:
Finn Caleb Sparling and Braeden James Guy and many other family members and friends.

Larry Larson Ken Clark Interment Corwin will be cremated following the service and
burial will be at a later date in Pleasantville Cemetery. For those desiring, memorial
contributions may be made to St Paul’s United Methodist Church.

The family invites relatives and friends to St. Paul’s United Methodist Church for lunch following
