Alice Cleo Dooley, 83, or Zion, died Nov. 4, 1989 at Victory Memorial Hospital in Waukegan, Ill.

She was born On Oct. 15, 1906 in Knoxville and had come to the Illinois area in 1941. She was a member of the Grace Missionary Church. She worked for many years as an office assistant to Dr. Ewald and was a past president of the Lake County Doctor’s Assistants Association.

She is survived by two sons, Richard (Ellen) of Mesa, Arz, and Mike (Phyllis) of New Baltimore, Mich.; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; four sisters, Marlene Naylor of Des Moines, Maxine Zoutte of Knoxville, Wanda Olmutz of Canton, Ohio and Wilma Condra of St. Paul, Minn.; and a brother, Marvin Maddy of Albuquerque, New Mex.

She was preceded in death by her husband Carl; and three brothers, Harold, Gordon and Howard Maddy.

Funeral services were held on Nov. 7 at the Congdon Funeral Home in Zion with Chaplain Willis Mayfield Officiating. Interment was in Mt. Olivet Memorial Park in Zion, Ill.
