Funeral services for Charles Howard Wilson, 80, of Tracy, who died February 27, 1997, at his home, were held March 3, 1997, at Bybee and Davis Funeral Home in Knoxville.
Burial was at Graceland Cemetery in Knoxville.

The Rev. Martha Ward officiated at the services. Music was provided by Jim Kidder,
the organist. Pallbearers were Kevin Long, Sean Mason, Joe Neil, Jason Mason, Andy Neil,
and John Crago.

Charles was born August 2, 1916, in Knoxville, the son of Charles E. and Dora Hayes
Wilson. He grew Charles Wilson in Knoxville and attended schools there.

He was united in marriage to Josephine Meusburger on July 5, 1941, in Bethany, Mo.
He worked in the coal mines as a young man, then worked as a heavy equipment operator.
In later years, he was a mechanic for Edgar Weldon and for Marion County. He eventually
started farming, and in 1982, the couple moved into the house he built on their
farm near Tracy.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Jonathan; a sister, Mildred Dabb;
and a brother, Glen.

He is survived by his wife; three daughters, Betty Long, Judy Neil, and Rosemary
Mason, all of Knoxville; two brothers, Robert of Cleburne, Texas, and Harold of
Pleasantville; a sister, Ethel Rockholz of Pleasantville; nine grandchildren, and
three great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
