Robert Wayne Adams, 35, of New York City and formerly of Knoxville, died June 15, 1984, at Bethesda, Md. after a six months illness with Hodgkin’s Disease and other complications.

Mr. Adams was born on April 10, 1949. in Clarinda, the son of Merrill (Boots) and
Norma Adams. He graduated from Knoxville High School in 1967 and Drake University in 1971.

He did graduate work at Columbia University in New York City and one year in Germany.
He worked at the Peoples Store while attending high school and during, vacations
while at Drake.

At the time of his death, he was an instructor at the U.S. Office of Personnel Management,
Workforce Effectiveness Division. He was a member of the Knoxville Christian Church.

He was preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his mother, of Knoxville;
two sisters, Barbara Livingston of Dwight, Ill. and Connie Adams of Menlo Park, Cal.;
and three nieces.
