Funeral services for Bernard Park Randol, who passed away Feb. 15, 1978 at Collins Memorial Hospital, were held Feb. 18 from the First Christian Church. Rev. William Travis officiated at the services. Music was provided by Anna Oscarson, organist.

Casketbearers were Larry Niday, Howard Hunt, Maurice Johnston, Merle Harrington, Kenneth Eugene Hayes, and Herman Veenstra. Interment was in Graceland Cemetery.

Bernard Park Randol was born Oct. 20, 1911, the son of Roly Homer and Elizabeth (Snow) Randol at Knoxville.

On July 21, 1931, he was united in marriage to Dorothy Stephens at Knoxville.

Bernard was a member of the First Christian Church having served many years as an elder in the church and as the head of various committees and was a Sunday school teacher.

He served in the United States Navy during World War II. Bernard was the owner of Randol's Home Improvement Products. He belonged to the International Order of Odd Fellows and the American Legion.

Preceding him in death were his parents and one brother, Carl.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Bernard of Ames, and Richard of Knoxville; one daughter, Mrs. Arthur (Veda) Peirce of Kokomo, IN; and eight grandchildren.
