Return to Class of 2008

Benjamin Beary03/26/2016
Benjamin Edward Beary of Knoxville died on March 26, 2016, two days before his 26th birthday.

Ben graduated from Knoxville High School and attended William Penn University and Kirkwood Community College. He was a fantastic salesman and worked as a computer sales representative at Best Buy at the time of his death.

Ben was smart, kind, generous, loyal, competitive, and very funny. He lived for sports, friends, and family. He liked all sports but he especially loved cheering for the Iowa State Cyclones, St. Louis Cardinals, Green Bay Packers, North Carolina basketball, and the Liverpool football club. He also loved playing sports and was a natural athlete.

During his time in school, he played nearly every sport but focused much of his energy on basketball, soccer, and golf. Although he never attained his dream of becoming the next Kobe Bryant, he did go on to play collegiate soccer at William Penn University and continued to come back to Knoxville to play pick-up soccer with the younger players when he could.
