Arthur Leroy Jamison, 56, of Winterset died May 19, 2003, at Kavanagh House in Des Moines.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 22, at Ochiltree Funeral Service & Aftercare in Winterset with the Rev. Steve Koch officiating. Visitation will be held from 1-8 p.m. today (Wednesday, May 21) where family will be present to receive friends from 4-8 p.m.
Burial will be at North McDonald Cemetery, Jefferson Township, Madison County with military honors performed by V.F.W. Post 8142 and American Legion Post 184, both of Winterset.
Art Jamison was born Sept. 15, 1946 to Robert M. and Hazel (Ward) Jamison of Knoxville, Iowa. He served in the United States Marines and later worked as a heavy equipment operator for the McAninch Corporation.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Jennifer Jamison.
He is survived by his fiancee, Carolyn Cumming of Macksburg; two daughters, Joni Jamison of Melrose and Jessica Jamison of Winterset; a son, Jason Jamison of Des Moines; and two grandchildren.
