Alice Lee (Taggart) Hillyer, 95, was born in Omaha, NE, on June 19, 1925.

Alice grew up in Knoxville, IA, graduating with the Class of 1943, where she enjoyed roller skating, and playing the clarinet in high school.

She died December 26, 2020, in Tulsa, OK.

She is preceded in death by her father, Howard Taggart and her mother, Irene Taggart and her husband, Jack L. Hillyer.

She is survived by her two children, Steven Lee Hillyer and his wife Sonia, and Susan Wages and her husband Jim, seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

She worked at Western Union as a teletype operator in Chicago during World War II, and retired from Amerada Hess in 1986, where she worked as a teletype operator as well as switchboard operator.

Alice enjoyed spending time at Grand Lake with her husband family, playing bunko, and was a proud and active member of Yale Avenue Christian Church.
