Funeral services for Albert Stuart Isaacson, who died Suddenly September 25, 1976 at his home in Houston, Tex., were held October 2 from Arlington Chapel with Dr. Leonard E. Deaver officiating. Burial was in Graceland Cemetery.

Albert Stewart Isaacson, son of Albert W. and Talitha Thomas Isaacson was born in Monroe County, July 12, 1925.

He attended public schools in Knoxville and was a member of the class of 1943. He went on to study music to receive a music education degree from Drake University. He also received a graduate degree of Master of Arts from the University of Houston.

Because of his leadership in the public schools of Texas and his contribution in the field of music, he was awarded an honorary Doctor of Music degree by Southern College of Fine Arts in Houston.

Upon his graduation from high school, Albert joined the United States Navy and served until being honorably discharged in 1946. He was active in various bands as a musician while in the Navy.

On July 28, 1946 he was united in marriage to Margaret Craig of Corpus Christi, Texas.

Preceding him in death were his father and a sister, Dorothy.

Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Talitha Isaacson of Knoxville; his son, Bill of Corpus Christi, Texas; and his two daughters, Carol of Corpus Christi and Cathy of San Antonio, Texas.
