Addison C. (Stew) Stewart, 96, passed away on January 22, 2011 at The Calvin Community, Des Moines, IA.
He was born on December 22, 1914 in Kirksville, MO to Addison and Maude Stewart.
Stew graduated from Knoxville High School in 1932 and married Frances Goodspeed in 1936.
He worked for Sargent & Co. and American Cyanamid and retired in 1980. He was a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church and a 50-year member of the Acanthus Masonic Lodge 632.
Stew will be remembered as a kind, loving husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed woodworking, second only to spending time with his family and friends.
Stew will be missed by his loving wife of 75 years, Frances; daughters, Sharon (Mickey) Swim, West Des Moines, and Jan (Chip) Carter, Georgetown, TX; five grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
