Services for Wendell Shawver Kubli, 78, of Knoxville, who passed away June 7, 1992
at Knoxville Area Community Hospital, were held June 11 at Williams Funeral Home.
Burial was in Graceland Cemetery.

Military honors were provided by American Legion
Post #168 and V.F.W. Post #3519. Rev. Dale Reisner officated at the services. Music
was provided by organist Darlene Mooberry, and vocalist Rhonda Van Soelen. Casketbearer
were Donald Goemaat, Marvin King, Gene Kubli, Larry Kubli, Robert Kubli and David
Shawver.

Mr. Kubli was born Jan. 13, 1914 near Pleasantville. He was the son of
Belle Shawver and Florian Kubli. Four children were born to this union, Helen, William,
Wayne and Wendell.

Mr. Kubli spent his early life on various farms in Marion County
and graduated from Knoxville High School in 1931. After graduation he continued
to farm in Marion County until joining the Army during World War II. He served from
February of 1942 until October of 1945. He was a Staff Seargeant with the 19th Troop
Carrier Squadron.

On September 5, 1945, he was united in marriage to Margery Ethel
Beebe. Three children were born to this union, Mary, Carol and Roger. Mr. and Mrs.
Kubli farmed in the Bussey-Attica area until her passing in 1969. Mr. Kubli was
a member of the Attica United Methodist Church and remained active in the church
and the Attica area until his health forced him to move to Knoxville.

He was preceded
in death by his parents and his wife, Margery.

He is survived by his three children,
Roger of Conway, Ark., Mary Chambers of Tracy and Carol Labertew and her husband
Roger of Moulton; four grandchildren, David and Carrie Labertew, and Aaron and Seth
Kubli; his sister, Helen King of Des Moines; two brothers, William Kubli of Hardy,
Ark. and Wayne Kubli of Milo.; also many other relatives and a host of friends.
