Services for Waunita Brooks Towson, 80, Mexico, Mo., on were held on June 21, 1993, at the Arnold Funeral Home in Mexico, Mo. Burial was at East Lawn Memorial Park.

Waunetta was born on Aug. 5, 1912, in Knoxville, the daughter of S.N. and Allie Belle Davis Brooks.

On Jan. 5, 1936, she was married to Hugh A. Towson in Mexico, Mo.
She worked at A.P. Green Industries, Inc., and later worked at Audrain County Abstract Offices, from which she retired.

Waunetta was a member of the Mexico United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women.

Waunetta died June 18, 1993. She was preceded in death by her husband; three brothers, J. Ray Brooks, John Brooks and J. Will Brooks; four sisters, Faye Miller, Hazel Brubaker, Mary Beaman and Bernice Macklem, and three infant brothers and sisters.

Survivors include one son, Edward Bevans of Zionsville, Ind.; one daughter, Allie Joyce Schrader of Thompson, Mo.; one brother, Jesse. M. Brooks of Knoxville; five grand-children; 6 step-grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 14 step-great-grandchildren.

The Arnold Funeral Home in Mexico, Mo. was in charge of the arrangements.
