Rodney Ray DeMoss Visitation services for Rodney Ray DeMoss, 54, of Knoxville, who died of lung cancer,
April 24, 1999 at the Knoxville VA Medical Center, were held May l, 1999, at the
First Christian Church in Knoxville. The body was donated to the University of Iowa. No services are planned. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery in Knoxville
at a later date.

Rodney was born June 11, 1944, in Knoxville, the son of Mildred Schrader and Lee
DeMoss. He graduated from Knoxville High School, class of 1962. He served in the
U.S. Navy from 1966 until 1984.

After retiring from the service, he returned to Knoxville, where he owned and operated
Handy Services. In 1993, he opened Patty’s Place in Knoxville, and continued its
operation until his death.

He was united in marriage to Patty Lou Glass in Las Vegas, Nev., on June 15, 1989.
He was preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his mother of Knoxville;
his wife of Knoxville; a son Michael DeMoss of Lake Bay, Wash.; three daughters,
Christine Shaw of Aurora, Colo., Rhonda Vander Hart of Leighton, and Rebecca DeMoss
of Columbia; a sister, Beverly Toom of Pella; 10 grandchildren, five step-children,
10 step—grandchildren, and one step—great- grandchild.

Memorials may be made to the family. Arrangements were made by Williams Funeral
Home in Knoxville.
