Richard Gerald Hegwood, son of Mr. and Mrs. Loren Hegwood, was born April 27, 1926
and died at a hospital in Three Rivers, Mich. on Dec. 22 at the age of 31 years,
7 months and 25 days. His home was in Mottville, Mich.

He was married to Betty Ann Brown of Knoxville on April 29, 1911 in Kansas City,
Mo.

He is survived by his wife, a son, Rockland, at home, two sons by a previous marriage,
Richard of Des Moines and Everett of Belknan, Il., also by his father, Loren Hegwood,
two brothers, Harold and Larry of Knoxville. Also two sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Jackson
of Glendale, Calif., and Mrs. Marjorie Rinehart of Newton, his grand mother, Mrs.
Myrtle Talbot. His mother and two sons preceded him in death.

He served in the U.S Navy for two years being aboard the USS Relief. He worked in
Newton before going to Michigan. At the time of his death he was employed by the
Stewart Coach Co.

Funeral services were held at Bybee & Davis Funeral Home Dec. 27 conducted by Rev.
Alva T. Browning. Burial was in Eureka Cemetery under the direction of the Baty-Tucker
American Legion Post.
