Martha was born October 21, 1931, in Des Moines, Iowa, the daughter of Donald D. and Almeda (Freel) Dyer. Martha grew up on a farm outside of Pleasantville, graduated from Knoxville High School in 1949 and married her high school sweetheart, Leon Langebartels, also from the class of '49 at the First Methodist church in Knoxville on September 2, 1951.
Martha devoted her life to serving her family and enjoyed raising her three daughters, Luann Mattson, of Springfield Mo, Lisa Reed, of Columbia Mo and Linda Wulf, of Chesterfield Mo. Martha loved her eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren who were the light of her life and brought her many smiles up until her last day.
Along with her daughters, Martha is survived by her brother and sister in law, Ralph, and Donna (Fee) Dyer, of Pleasantville, and her sister in law, Marilyn (Dwiggins) Dyer, of Colorado Springs Co. Martha was preceded in death by Leon in 1998, and her brother, Harold Dean Dyer.
Martha lived a life of kindness with a sweet disposition toward everyone she met. We know Martha has been blessed to receive God's eternal life and is at peace. Her three girls feel fortunate to have had the privilege to call her "Mom".
