Lois (Clark)Boden, 91, of Sioux City, died Friday, Jan. 27, 2006 at a Sioux City hospital.

Visitation was held on Monday. A funeral service was held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan.
31, at the First United Methodist Church with Pastor Roger Madden and Don Wood
officiating.

Another funeral service was held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb, 1, at the
First United Methodist Church in Knoxville, with Pastor Neil Montz officiating.
Burial followed at Graceland Cemetery in Knoxville.

Lois was born Nov. 28, 1914,
in Knoxville, to Frank and Maud (Todd) Clark. She attended and graduated from Knoxville
High School and then graduated from American Institute of Business in Des Moines.

On Aug. 21, 1936, she married Worthey Boden at her brother's ranch in Pagosa Springs,
Colo. In the early years of their marriage Lois worked outside the home to help
support Worthey while he was in medical school.

The couple moved to Sioux City in
1948. Throughout her years in Sioux City she was active in PEO chapter GZ, Harriett
Ballow New Hope Center, Sioux Med-Dames (Auxiliary of the Sioux Valley Medical Association),
Hospice and Meals on Wheels.

She was a 50-year member of the Sioux City Country
Club. While they lived in Sioux City Lois and her family maintained an active membership
at the First United Methodist Church. Lois found joy in serving others and spending
time with family and friends. She also enjoyed playing bridge with her husband.

After Worthey passed away Lois loved traveling to see her children and maintained
an active lifestyle. At the time of her death she was a resident at North Park.

Lois is survived by her children; Carla Britton and husband Ely of St. Louis, Mo.;
Nancy Bylin and husband Carl of Knoxville, Tenn.; Emily Whittemore and husband Bill
of Ridgefield, Conn.; and Chuck Boden and wife Aimee of Maurice; eight grandchildren:
Can Lowe and husband Chris, Libby Martin and husband Paul, Todd Whittemore and Claire
Whittemore Jacob Boden, Jared Boden, Becky Boden, Beth Boden; four great-grandchildren:
Lauren and Abby Lowe and Christian and Mia Martin: two nieces; Martha Onstank Jenkins
and Maude Onstank Roff both of Knoxville.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded
in death by one sister and two brothers.

Memorial contributions may be made to the
Boden Fund for Ministry Education at First United Methodist Church in Sioux City
or to Hospice of Siouxland.
