Jacqueline S. Shepley, 81, of Lamar, Mo., formerly of Newton, died Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2005, at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames.

Funeral services were held Saturday at Cambridge United Methodist Church with the Rev. Curtis DeVance officiating. Burial was at Cambridge Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Cambridge United Methodist Church. Bacon Funeral Home and Crematory in Nevada handled arrangements.

The daughter of Drew and Margarite Pauline (Blankenship) Walker, she was born Nov. 18, 1924, in Knoxville. On July 3, 1946, she married Dale Shepley in Baxter.

She worked for R. H. Donnelley Marketing for 24 years in Nevada. She was a member of the Fayetteville, Ark., Presbyterian Church, the Order of the Eastern Star and the American Legion Auxiliary of Cambridge. She enjoyed reading and collecting depression dishes.

Survivors include her husband; three sons, David Shepley of Council Bluffs, Gary (Judy) Shepley of Cambridge and Craig (Roylene) Shepley of Boone; a daughter, Connie (Rex) Baker of Nevada; 10 grandchildren; Corey Shepley, Angie Mackerman, Monica Comstock, Genny Shepley, Cybil Hines, Rachel Baker, Mitch Baker, Sarah Hayes and Brooke Tunink, 15 great-grandchildren; four brothers, Dean Walker of Loveland, Colo., Laird "Mike" Walker of Fort Collins, Colo., Alan Walker of Newton, Dennis "Duke" Walker of Adel; and two sisters, Paula Smith of Littleton, Colo., and Sherry Price of Sierra Vista, Ariz.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
