Helen Marie (Hudson) Boyt, 79, passed away Thursday, October 16, 2003 at Methodist Hospital.

Services will be 10 a.m., Wednesday at McLaren's Chapel with burial at Resthaven Cemetery.

Helen was born, November 4, 1923, and raised in Knoxville. IA and lived her adult life in Des Moines. She was an antique dealer for over 35 years and owned Hedy's Shoppe. Helen also owned Boyt and Zeller Tool and Die and was co-founder of Precision Sewing Company.

She was a graduate of Iowa State University with a major in journalism and a minor in textiles and clothing. She was a member of D.A.R., a life member of Women in Communications, Theta Sigma Phi, ISU Alumni Association, Iowa Depression Glass Club, National Depression Glass Club. and the P. Buckley Moss Society.
She was united in marriage to Arthur John “Jack” Boyt.

Helen is survived by her husband, Jack: sons, Doug of Clive and Steve of Des Moines; daughters, Mary Nedoba of Cedar Falls, Margaret Laughead of Waukee and Ann Dobrowski of Buffalo Grove, IL; 12 grandchildren; a sister. Jeanne Bellish of Indianapolis, IN; brothers, Jack Hudson of Middlesburg, VA and Dick Hudson of San Antonio, TX.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m., Tuesday at McLaren's Chapel. Memorials may be made to Reiman Gardens at Iowa State University
