C.Gerald "Jerry" Gleason, 69, of 2000 E. 27th Court, died of a respiratory ailment Wednesday at Mercy Hospital Medical Center.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Grandview Funeral Home. Burial will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Gleason was born in Mount Ayr and had lived in Kellerton
before moving to Des Moines in 1951. He was founder and owner of Engraving Associates Ltd. and was a purchasing agent for Bankers Life Co., and previously owned Gumble Hardware in Kellerton. He was a member of Evangelical Covenant Church, Masonic Lodge in Kellerton and was a Veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Darlene V.; Two sons, Dr. Stephen of Des Moines and Chris of Ankeny; hree stepsons, David Phillips of White Bear, Minn., Douglas Phillips of Canoga Park, Calif., and Timothy Phillips of Highland Ranch, Calif., a brother, Morris of Des Moines; two sisters, Vera Burzacott and Ruth Andrews, both of Des Moines; and nine grandchildren.
