Gary was born November 24, 1944, in Knoxville to Garold and Mae Crook Galvin.
He went to Knoxville Schools and then married Linda Marsh in 1963.

He later met Sandra Goering who was his companion for the last 20 years. He was blessed with 4 children:
Tralawney, Gary II, Josie, and Jessica; and by 4 step-children: Chasity, Chuck, Casey, and Cody.

Gary liked to have fun and was a bit of a rebel. He loved to talk
about cars, race cars, and work on cars. Gary was an outstanding mechanic working
independently and for Shinn’s in Knoxville and GMC in Des Moines to name a few,
and also worked at Goff & Nash in Knoxville.

Gary could fix or do anything. Most of all, Gary loved all his family and enjoyed time spent with them.
