Eugene Charles Meek was born on July 5, 1916 at Abilene, Ks., the son of Harry G. and Florence B. Robson Meek (1893 – 1993).
As a child he moved frequently with his family throughout the Midwest. He graduated from Knoxville High School with the Class of 1936.
Eugene, 66, a World War II Navy veteran and retired real estate salesman died, February 8, 1985, at Humana Phoenix Hospital. He was born in Abilene, Kan., and moved to Arizona 15 years ago from Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his father Harry G. Meek in (1891-1980.)
Survivors include his wife, Vera; daughter, Judy Gonder; son, Jerry; mother Florence B. Robson Meek of Dallas, Tx.; a sister; Harriett Lyon of Chico, Ca and two brothers; Kenneth (Juanita) Robson Meek, of Grinnell and Keith of Dallas, Tx. and three grandchildren.
Memorial services will be 3 p.m. Monday at Chapel of the Chimes,
