Memorial services for Eugene H. Dodds, 79, of Fort Collins, Colorado formerly of
Knoxville, who died October 21, were held October 25, 1999, at the Bohlender Funeral
Chapel in Fort Collins.
Eugene was born June 13, 1920, in Barlington, Iowa, the son of Dwight (D.L.) and
Virginia Hufford Dodds. He was graduate of Knoxville High school and attended Drake
University and Iowa State University.
Eugene served in the U.S. Army Air Corps in WWII, North Africa and Italy. He had
lived in Fort Collins for four years and formerly lived in Laramie, Wyoming. Eugene
was a merchant for shoe and apparel, and also served a ham radio operator, and a
pilot.
Eugene was united in marriage to Arloise Smith Dodd on November 16, 1941 in Las
Vegas, Nevada.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, two daughters Kelly Meaney and Karen Sexton both of
Plano, Texas. Two sons Gary Dodds of Laramie, Wyoming, and Douglas Dodds of Fort
Collins, Colorado, a sister Connie of California and seven grandchildren.
