Edd was born July 17, 1915 near Columbia, Iowa to Tom and Mayme Lahmon Murr.
Edd passed away July 14, 2005 at his home at the age of 89 years. He graduated from
Knoxville High School and then farmed and lived in the Columbia area his entire
life.
On July 13, 1940 Edd was united in marriage to Velma Vandenberg. They were blessed
with four children: Larry (Sharon) of Prior Lake, MN; Roger (Donna) of Peoria, IL;
Mary K. Loynachan of Reinbeck, IA; and Martha (Randy) Johansen of Birmingham, AL.
Edd was a member of the Columbia United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, children, grandsons: Brett (Sara) Muir of Savage, MN;
Todd (TaInmy) Murr of Prior Lake, MN; and David Murr of Hanover, NH; and five grandchildren:
Thomas, Ashley, Ryan, Austin, and Laura.
The family is honoring Edd s request by having Graveside services at the Columbia
Cemetery on Sunday July 17, 2005 at 9:30 AM.
Memorials may be made to the Columbia United Methodist Church.
Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Melcher-Dallas handled the arrangements.
