Earle Gardner Bellarny, 63, died of cancer Sunday at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the First United Methodist Church, Knoxville, with burial at Graceland Cemetery.

Mr. Bellamy, a Knoxville native, was born April 26, 1920, the son of Earle Delmar and Grace Gardner Bellamy.

He graduated from Knoxville High School and attended Davidson College, Davidson, N.C. Earle entered the Army in 1941 and served with the 10th Mountain Division in the European Theater. He was discharged in 1945.
He married Mary Raysor on July 24, 1943 in Colorado Springs, Colo. Mr. Bellamy began his career with Bellamy Telephone

He was later manager of the Grand Bahamas Telephone Company in Freeport Gran Bahamas, British West India, from 1970 to 1971 and became manager of Manassas Telephone Company in Manassas, Va. From 1971-72. He returned to Knoxville in 1972 where he
was executive vice president of Community National Bank until his retirement in 1983.

Mr. Bellamy was past president of the Iowa In- dependent Telephone Association
and past president of the United States Independent Telephone Association. He has served on the Knoxville School Board, The Knoxville Development Corporation, Chamber of Commerce, United Way and Pine Knolls Country Club. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Mary; a daughter, Nancy Bellamy Bush of Houston, Texas; a son, Earle D. Bellamy II of Golden, Colo.; a sister, Mrs.
Walter (Mollie) Burns of Des Moines; a brother, James M. Bellamy of Knoxville; four grandaughters and several nieces and nephews.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Knoxville Recreation Center. Evans McCleery Funeral
