Services for Loren Donald Cox, 66, of Knoxville, who died Aug. 28, 1990 at University Hospital in Iowa City, were held Aug. 31 at Bybee and Davis Funeral Home.
Interment was in Graceland Cemetery.

Revs. Gary Cox and Marvin Platt officiated at the services. Music was provided by Joan Arnott, organist, and Dr. Gordon Arnott, vocalist.

Pallbearers were Marvin Bassett, Doug Nichols, Dwight Poffenbarger, Bud Thomas, Max Wensel and Roy Richardson. Honorary bearers were Jess Brooks, Van Fast, Frank McDonald, Lee Deeringer, Warren Whaley and Forrest Butler.

Mr. Cox was born March 23, 1924 in Marion County, the son of Harold and Bessie Randol Cox.

On July 31, 1946, he married Joyce Fouch at Pleasantville.
He was a farmer and a life-long resident of the area.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Johnny; and two brothers, John and Paul.

He is survived by his wife; three sons, Ronnie Dean of Jasper, Ark., Gary Wayne of Carlisle, and Thomas Loren of Knoxville; two daughters, Mrs. Tom (Linda Lois) DeLong of Oskaloosa and Mrs. Jack (Donna June) Kilgore of Clifton Hill, Mo.; and 15 grandchildren.
