David Kevin Peterson was born on December 30, 1959, at Waterloo, Iowa. He was the first of two children that were born to Donald Eugene and Barbara Ann Strike Peterson.
David’s father, Donald Peterson, was a music teacher for most of his working career and taught at Knoxville, Iowa while Dave was a student.
Dave graduated from Knoxville High School with the Class of 1978 and during high school worked at Gus & Nick’s Pizza.
Following his graduation he moved to Kansas City, Missouri. Dave was employed as a manager with Godfather’s Pizza there and in Houston, Texas. From 1991 until 2008 he was employed in the service department at the Acura Dealership in Overland Park, Kansas. He was currently an auto dealership consultant for Midwest Dealership Services in Overland Park, Kansas.
Although he was gainfully employed, his real joy was playing guitar and singing. He performed with several groups and especially enjoyed country music. In addition he had a love for dogs, ‘Dani’, his German Shephard and ‘Joni’, his black lab; as well as his cat, ‘Luci’. They gave Dave much joy and satisfaction.
