Services for Charles William May, 73, of Port St. Lucie, who passed away Oct. 28, 1991 in HCA Medical Center of Poar tSt. Lucie, Fla., were held Oct. 30 at Aycock Funeral Home.
Entombment was in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Fl. Pierce, Fla.
Mr. May was born in Washington Township and had been a resident of Port St. Lucie for 14 years, coming from Des Moines.
Prior to his retirement, he was an officer with the Iowa National Guard at Camp Dodge, for 32 years.
He was a member of the VFW Post 3519 and the American Legion Post 168, both in Knoxville. He was also a member of the Sgt. Major Association in Des Moines. During World War II, he served in the U.S. Navy's C.B.'s.
Survivors include his wife, Lucille May of Port St. Lucie; two sons, Charles May of Jacksonville, Fla, and Jerry May of Orange Park, Fla; three daughters, Barbara Frazier of Upper Valley, Calif., Carole Sittler of Omaha, Neb., and Vicki Blevins of St. Augustine, Fla., three sisters, Audrey Agan of Knoxville, Ruth Hardy and Carolyn Garcia, both of Atascadero, Calif.; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
