Betty I. Oaks, of Bettendorf, died on Monday, May 31, 2004, at Genesis Medical Center ICU, at East Campus, Davenport.

Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m. June 4, at Runge Mortuary, Davenport, with visitation on Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the mortuary. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, 1401 Perry St., Davenport, Iowa.

She was born Feb. 20, 1924, in Knoxville, Iowa. She retired from F.W. Woolworth as a Personal Manager after 43 years of service. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Davenport, Friendly Class and the Vista Club.

She is survived by sisters, Norma (Jim) Lake, Bettendorf, and Ellen Goode, Des Moines; brother, Ted (Marilyn) Robinson, Davenport; local nieces, Linda (Kevin) Guenther, Bettendorf, Debbie (Alan) Kinsey, Bettendorf, and Cindy (John) Medinger, Moline; and nephew, Bill Robinson, Dixon, Iowa; and several great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 17 years, Horace, her parents, John and Mildred Robinson, brothers, Bill, Pat and Jack Robinson, and sister, Frances Lash.
