Services for Raymond Reed Solomon, of Odessa, Texas and formerly of Knoxville, who
died Feb. 14, 1990 at the Odessa Medical Center, were held Feb. 16 in Odessa.
Mr.
Solomon was born on Nov. 28, 1938 in Lometa, Texas, the son of Raymond Stockton
and Elizabeth Florence Solomon. He resided in Knoxville with his family from July,
1950 until he entered the military in February, 1957.
He attended Nell McGowan Junior
High School and graduated from Knoxville High School in May 1956. While in Knoxville
he was an outstanding athlete, was an active member of the First Baptist Church,
and worked for many years at the United Food Store.
On May 28, 1960 he married Patricia
Larson.
He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife; two
daughters, Karen Hobbs and Sharon Quador, both of Odessa, Tx; one grandson; two
sisters, Mary Haefe of Fort Worth, Tx and Lanelle Gallagher of Richardson Tx; and
one brother, William of South Bend.
