Jonathan Taylor Sinnard, age 29 of Knoxville, passed away early Sunday morning, September 15, 2013 in a one car automobile accident in rural Knoxville.

Jonathan was born in Knoxville, Iowa on June 30, 1984, the son of Randy Taylor and Nancy Lynn (Harsin) Sinnard. John was raised in Knoxville and graduated from Knoxville High School, Class of 2003.

After high school John worked various manufacturing jobs. In 2006 he joined the United States Army. John served his country in Afghanistan from 2006 to 2009. In 2010, after serving his country for four years, John came back to Knoxville where he began to work at Hormel Foods.

On January 2, 2007, in Knoxville, Iowa, Jonathan and Jackie Ilene Sandmeier were united in marriage. John and Jackie were blessed with two children: Tristan Taylor and Isabelle Irene Sinnard. John and Jackie later divorced in February of 2012.

Jonathan loved the outdoors. He enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, and mushroom hunting. When John was younger he liked to motocross race.

Jonathan is survived by his children, Tristan Taylor and Isabelle Irene Sinnard, and their mother, Jackie Sandmeier all of Knoxville; one sister, Sarah (Michael) Gerber of Schofield Barracks, HI; one brother, Levi Sinnard of Knoxville; three nieces, Gracey, Emma, and Ella; and one nephew, Ethan. Jonathan is also survived by his grandmothers, Marilyn Sinnard and Maxine Harsin both of Knoxville; three aunts and two uncles.

He was preceded in death by his Parents Randy and Nancy Sinnard; one niece, Hailey; his grandfathers, Gene Sinnard and Willis Harsin; one aunt and one uncle.

Visitation for Jonathan will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, September 19, 2013, at the Winfield Funeral Home in Knoxville, with John’s family present from 5 to 8:00 p.m. <img src="SinnardJohn.jpg"

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, September 20th at the First United Methodist Church, with Pastor Vickie Steffes and Elder Bill McDonald officiating. Burial with military honors will follow services at Graceland Cemetery of Knoxville.
