Heidi Marie Derringer, 49, of Oskaloosa, IA and formerly of Springdale, AR passed away early Friday morning, September 13, 2013, at the MHP Hospice Services Serenity House.
Heidi Marie Derringer, daughter of John Edgar and Linda June (Dunsmoor) Derringer, was born March 30, 1964, in Knoxville, Iowa. She attended Knoxville High School. She moved to Springdale, AR in 1984.
She was a busy mother of four children and also worked at Braum’s Ice Cream and Dairy Store in Springdale. Heidi never met a stranger; she enjoyed auto racing and spending time with her family.
Ill health required her to move to Oskaloosa in June, 2013. Since her move she has attended the Fellowship Bible Church in Oskaloosa.
Her family includes her children: Kiley Lawhorn of Springdale, Madison Wilson of Oskaloosa, Jacob (Amber) Derringer of Springdale and Zach Lawhorn of Oskaloosa; two grandsons: Kyler Lawhorn and Levi Derringer; her mother, Linda Derringer of Oskaloosa; a brother, Rodney (Lori) Derringer of Pleasant Hill, IA; sisters: Kendall Derringer and Marcie (Dan) Rinehart, both of Virginia Beach, VA; and three nephews.
In addition to her father, John Derringer, Heidi was preceded in death by a son, Kevin Derringer. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, September 17, at the Fellowship Bible Church with Pastor Rodney DeRonde officiating.
As was her wish, her body has been cremated and burial of her ashes will be in Eureka Cemetery near Harvey, IA. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m., Monday evening at the Fellowship Bible Church. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the family.
