She was the daughter of Myrle Edward and Donna Janette (Ziebarth) Rowley.

Kathi is also survived by her parents, Myrle (Betty) Rowley of South Bend, IN and Donna (Norman) Norton of Knoxville; five sisters; Cheryl (Brian Wayne) Hennefeld (b.1958-d.2017), Karen (Rich) Goff of Knoxville, Christine Rowley of Knoxville, Teresa (Lane) Williams of Knoxville, and Tana Rowley of Montana; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

Kathi Lynn Rowley, 16, of rural Knoxville was killed Saturday after she lost control of her car and it tumbled over a stone embankment on Iowa Highway 14, north of here.

Rowley was driving north when her car ran off the road onto the highway’s right shoulder, officials said. Her car bunced back onto the road before it skidded onto the left shoulder and headed down a stone embankment, authorities said.

The car rolled over several times and Rowley was thrown from the vehicle before it came to a stop. She was alone at the time.

Officials said the accident, which occurred between 3:30 and 5 p.m., after it occurred.
