Funeral services for Calvin C. Ridlen, who died June 12, 1972, at his home, were held June 15, 1972, at Williams Funeral Home with Rev. James W. Dendler officiating. The burial was in Graceland Cemetery.
Casket-bearers were Dwight Williams, Merle Bailey, Homer Gilderbloom, James Wheeler, Gene Sinnard, and Clifford Line. Mrs. Lois Anderson was the organist.
Calvin C. son of Clarence L. and Nelle Robuck Ridlen was born Feb. 24, 1907, in Marion County.
After graduating in 1926 from Knoxville High School, he was employed on a ranch in Nebraska. Upon discharge from the service, he was employed at Knoxville VA Hospital.
On June 8, 1952, he was united in marriage to Thelma Bellamy. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Baty-Tucker Post 168, American Legion, and Knoxville I.O.O.F. Lodge.
His parents one brother and his wife, Thelma, preceded him in death.
He is survived by a son, Richard of Knoxville; three sisters: Mrs. Marion (Clara) Jordan of Pleasantville, Mrs. Harold (Ruth) Williams of Dallas, and Mrs. Wyatt (Nell) Welch of Knoxville.
