Funeral services for Mrs. Edith Nichols, who died June 11 at Collins Memorial Hospital were held June 13 from Williams Funeral Home with Rev. E. Edward Philgreen officiating.
Burial was in Graceland Cemetery.
Casketbearers were Edward Nichols, Richard Northcote, Richard McVey, Ray Moore. Jess Nichols and Dr. Robert Schepers. Mrs. Lois Anderson was organist.
Edith Caroline, daughter of Park and Etha Mae Palmer Smith, was born Sept 29, 1912 at Knoxville.
On June 1, 1932 she was united in marriage to Elmer C. Nichols in Unionville, Mo. Following their marriage they operated a restaurant and service station in Knoxville.
Her husband, parents and one sister, Ethel McVey preceded her in death.
Surviving are her son Edward: daughter-in-law Nancy: two grandchildren: and two sisters, Mrs. Byron Frazier and Mrs. Clinton Fee, all of Knoxville.
