Services For Tommy Rees, Funeral services for Tommy Joe Rees, age 33, who died May 11
at his home, were held May 13,1976 from the First United Methodist Church with Dr.
Leonard E. Deaver officiating.

Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Evans-McCleery Funeral Service.
Honorary casketbearers were Roy Oliver, Paul Treanor, Jerry Weeks, Max Hall, Bill
Thomas, Bruno Avon, Barney Thomas, Mike Larson and Ben Shinn. Casketbearers were
Steve Gordon, Mike Beard, Dave Dainty, Donald Dve. Eldon Dennison.

He was honorably dlscharged from the Navy ln 1964. Rees was employed by the Safeway
Steel Scaffolds Company of Des Moines as sales manager. He was a member of the Knoxville
Sportsman Club, Better Builders and the Pine Knolls Country Club. He was also a
member of the First United Methodist Church of Knoxville and for a time was a member
of the Knoxville Junior Chamber Commerce.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Paul; and his infant son,
Tommy Joe,Jr. Survivors include his son, John of Knoxville; two brothers, Robert
and Richard, both of Knoxville: three sisters, Mrs. Willis (Marjory) Andrews, Mrs.
John (Claudean) Avon of Knoxville, and Mrs. Gary (Nancy) Cooney of Custer, South
Dakota; and his grandmother, Mrs. Lena Rees of Monroe.
