Funeral services for Claudine Levada (Moyle) Mitchell, 73, of Knoxville, who died January 23, were held January 26, 1996, at the First United Methodist Church in Knoxville. Burial was at Graceland Cemetery in Knoxville.

The Rev. Bob Ward officiated at the services. Music was provided by Linda Gehling,
organist, and Stephanie Young, soloist. Pallbearers were Jim Mitchell, Jim Mitchell
II, Mike McKay, Dick Mitchell, Jim Young, and J.D. Nichols.

Claudine was born July 27, 1922, in Albia, the daughter of Edwin Ross and Mildred
Fern Pierce Moyle. The family moved to Knoxville in 1932: She graduated from Knoxville
High School in 1940.

She was united in marriage to Glenn L. Mitchell on October 20, 1940, in Kingston,
Mo. They lived their entire married lives in Knoxville. As well to being a homemaker
she worked for Knoxville Area Community Hospital as an Admission and Insurance
Cleric for 23 years.

She was an active member of the First United Methodist Church
and was a Past Matron of Knoxville Chapter #85 Order of Eastern Star.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a brother, Don Moyle.

She is survived by a daughter, Carol Agan of Knoxville; a sister, Carolyn Sweem
of Bellflower, Calif.; two grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church Building Fund for Handicapped
Accessibility.
