Patrick David McCoy was born on May 19, 1984, in Knoxville, Iowa.
He was the second child born to Nancy Lee Smith and Danny Craig McCoy.

Pat grew up in Knoxville and graduated from Knoxville High School in 2001.
Pat enjoyed spending his spare time fishing, playing video games, and listening to hard rock.

His favorite band was Slip Knot. Pat had several good friends that he liked to “hang out” with.
The family was a major priority to Pat. He loved them and spending time with them.

Pat was especially close to his grandfather Fred, with whom he lived.
Pat was employed by Allen Blasting and Coating Company; working at Cargill in Eddyville.

He also worked at the Round Window Liquor Store and Taso’s.
Pat passed away on Saturday, September 6, 2008, at the age of 24 years, 5 months, and 19 days.

Preceding him in death were his mother,
Nancy; grandmother, Marlene Parker; and grandfathers, Howard Smith and Raymond Jones.

Those left to mourn his passing are his father, Danny McCoy of Harvey; one sister
and her husband, Sherry and Danny Day of Pella; one grandmother, Verda Jones of
Knoxville; one grandfather, Fred Parker of Knoxville as well as many aunts, uncles
and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, September
10, 2008 at Williams Funeral Home with Pastor David Vander Pool officiating.

The interment was in Graceland Cemetery. Casket bearers were Blaze Landers, Casey Frye, Eric,
Jason and Mike McCoy and Zach Jones. Musical selections were “Great Is Thy Faithfulness”
and “Safe in the Arms of Jesus”. Libby Miller was the vocalist and Darlene Mooberry
was the organist.

Memorials may be made “To His Family.” Condolence messages may

the arrangements.
