Funeral services for Jerry Lee Hubler, 58, of Columbia, who died August 18, 1994 at the
Griffin Nursing Center in Knoxville was held on August 21, 1994, at Williams Funeral Home in Knoxville.

Burial was at Columbia Cemetery. Reverend Lynn Elrod officiated at the services.
Music was provided by Darlene Mooberry, organist, and Jim Kidder, vocalist. Pallbearers
were Garth Carruthers, Gary Clark, Keith Covey, Lester Dale Fee, Bob McCorkle, and
John Pierce. Honorary pallbearers were Frank Carruthers, John McDonald, Chris Moore,
and Delmar Roush.

Jerry was born November 8, 1935, in Lucas County, the son of Roy Raymond and Georgia
Marlene Shore Hubler. He grew up in the Columbia area and graduated from Knoxville
High School.

He worked at Johnson Machine Works in Chariton until he began farming in 1960. He
was a member of Columbia United Methodist Church, and served in the Iowa National
Guard for 10 years.

He was united in marriage to Carol Louise Chamberlain at the Columbia United Methodist
Church, October 3, 1958.

He was preceded in death by his father.

He is survived by his wife, Carol; his mother, Georgia Hubler, both of Columbia;
two daughters, Sandra Kay Smith of Knoxville, and Debra Sue Chambers of Columbia;
one son, Daniel of Columbia; a brother, Wayne Hubler of Columbia; a sister, Carolyn
Moore of Las Vegas, Nevada, and four grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Columbia Fire Department, and Melcher-Dallas Rescue
Squad.

Arrangements were made by Williams Funeral Home in Knoxville.
