Jeannine Donna (Robuck) DeJong was born January 17, 1930 in Knoxville, Iowa the daughter of Ora
Newton Robuck and Myrtis (Perry) Robuck.

Jeannine was raised in the Flagler area and graduated from Knoxville High School
with the Class of 1947.

On December 10, 1949 Jeannine was united in marriage to Donald D. De Jong at the
Methodist Church in Knoxville. The couple always made Knoxville their home.

She
began working at Avery’s Hardware while in high school, as a bookkeeper, and stayed
there until 1974. Jeannine then worked at McKay-Fee Insurance Agency for a few years,
before taking a job with 3M. She stayed at 3M until her retirement in December 2001.

In her spare time, Jeannine enjoyed reading, music and her children’s and grandchildren’s
sports and music activities. She was a member of the Business & Professional Women,
the United Presbyterian Women and the First Presbyterian Church. She took great
pleasure in the outreach activities with the Presbyterian Women’s group and her
bible study circle.

Jeannine passed away on Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at the Comfort House, in Pella,
at the age of 81 years, 9 months and 30 days.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Don and two sisters, Virginia<img src="RobuckJeannine.jpg" style="vertical-align: top; float: right; padding: 6px 10px 5px 10px;" />
Kingrey and Phyllis Robuck.

Those left to honor her memory include her children, Jerry De Jong (Kate) of Knoxville
and Jan Crawford (Tim) of Shalimar, Florida; 6 grandchildren: Aaron & Adam De Jong,
Angela (Philip) Madden, Danielle, Grant and Mariel Crawford.; two brothers, Jack
Robuck of Indianola and Jerry Robuck of Knoxville and many other family members
and friends.
