Howard V. Bailey was born Febuary 26, 1919. Funeral services for Howard V. Bailey, 50, of 1004 Kingman circle, died, Sept. 23, 1969,of a cerebral hemorrhage early Tuesday at Des Moines Mercy Hospital after a three-day illness.
Services will be held today (Thursday) at 1 p.m. from the Westover funeral home in Des Moines with burial in Glendale cemetery, of Des Moines, Polk County, Iowa.
Mr. Bailey had been a partner with Harold Bean in the Roosevelt Pharmacy in Des Moines for 25 years. He was a 1943 graduate of Drake University College of Pharmacy.
Howard was a native of Knoxville, Iowa in the US Navy – World War II veteran.
Surviving are his wife, Donna M. b. 1925; daughter, Mrs. Linda Penwell of Fayetteville, N.C.; son, William H. Bailey at home; mother, Mrs. Mary Bailey and brother, Merle Bailey of Knoxville; and sister Mrs. Madeline Renard of Tracy.
