Lila Jean Smith, age 82, of Knoxville, Iowa, passed away on Monday, December 26, 2022, at the Knoxville Hospital.

A visitation for Lila will be held on Friday, December 30, 2022, at the Knoxville Church of the Nazarene from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. with her family present. A memorial service will take place at 11:00 A.M. Following services, a luncheon will be held at the fellowship hall.

Lila was born on July 19, 1940, in Clarion, Iowa, the daughter of Lawrence and Josephine (Espeland) Robuck. She was raised in Knoxville and attended Knoxville High School, Class of 1958.

Lila was united in marriage to Adrian Iddings in 1958 and they were blessed with three children, David, Elizabeth, and Carrie. Lila married Bernard “Butch” Smith in 1995.

Lila worked for several local businesses, including work as a seamstress, and cake decorator, and for several years owned and operated the Pleasantville Greenhouse. She later worked and retired from GSA.

Lila enjoyed gardening, ceramics, cooking, needlepoint, and crocheting. She was deeply loved by her family and will be forever missed.

Those left to cherish Lila’s memory include her husband, Bernard “Butch” Smith; son, David Iddings, daughters, Elizabeth Darrah, and Carrie (Owen) Williams. She is also Lila Robuck survived by her stepdaughter, Toni Little; two sisters, Ruby (Larry) Dursky and Karen Baxter (Al Baxter); one brother, Larry (Carol) Robuck; grandchildren, Brett Iddings, Samantha Gray, Joshua Hughey, Joseph Hughey, Kaleen Williams, Adrianna Williams, and Lora Williams; two step-grandchildren, Deaven Little, and Jordan Sisson; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Lila is preceded in death by her parents. Lawrence and Josephine Robuck; sister, Joan Bousquet; and grandson, Lucas Iddings.
