Barbara Diane (Burch) Low of Des Moines, 59, was born November 6, 1947, and passed away on March 24, 2007, at her home.
Funeral services were held on March 28 at the Indianola Heights Evangelical Free Church. Burial was in the Graceland Cemetery at Knoxville.
She was devoted to her Lord, her Church, her husband, and her children. Her passion was entering her cooking and baking items at the Iowa State Fair and winning many
ribbons.
Barbara was a 1966 graduate of Knoxville High School. She was the secretary of her church for many years and also worked for the Des Moines Public Schools, as well as a homemaker for her family.
She is survived by her husband Michael, her daughter Jennifer Low and her son Scott Low, all of Des Moines, her father Newton C. Burch, and two brothers John and Reg, along with many other family and friends.
Barbara was preceded in death by her mother, Marilyn Louise Burch, her sister, Marcia Burch, and her son Jeffrey Don Low (July 25, 1978 – May 2, 1983).
Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to either her church or the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
