Services for Robert Wilson (Bill) Marshall of Knoxville; who died June, 23, 1986 at the VA Medical Center, were held June 25 at the First United, Methodist Church.
Bybee and Davis funeral Home was in Charge of arrangements.
Interment was in Greenwood Cemetery Rev K. Wayne Hoehns and John Beebout officiated at the services. Music was provided by James Kidder, Organist.
Pallbearers were S.L. Avitt, D.V. Ridnoner, Robert Wilson, Paul Allen, Don Goad and Don Starr.
Mr. Marshall was born June 8, 1916 at Indianola, the son of H.E. and Rhea Wilson Marshall.
He attended the Knoxville Schools, graduating with the class of 1935. On Dec. 31, 1941, he married Madeline Betterton at Lancaster, Mo.
An Army Veteran of World-War II, he received a bronze Star for meritorous service. He was an electrician and an independent truck driver prior to his employment with Marion County.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and an active member and past commander of John Meyers Post No. 3519 V.F.W.
He is survived by his wife; one foster daughter, Joy Vickroy of Knoxville; one foster son, John Betterton of Indianola; two cousins in Kansas; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorials have been established to the Raio Ministry and the stained glass Window fund of the First United Methodist Church.
