William “Bill” Vinton Fee, 87, of Melcher-Dallas passed away August 1, 2015. Services will be held Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Melcher-Dallas.

Interment will be at the Dallas Cemetery. Family will receive friends Monday, August 3, 2015 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Melcher-Dallas. Memorials are requested to the Melcher-Dallas Rescue Unit.

William Vinton Fee was born May 5, 1928 at the family farm near Pleasantville, Iowa to Timothy and Violet Fee. He attended Knoxville Schools and served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He was married to Junella Mathes on June 10, 1956 and they were blessed with 5 children: Leo, Grant, Alice, Jeff, and Roger.

Bill loved his work of farming and earth moving. He built many ponds, terraces, and improved many farms with many conservation structures. Farming was one of his greatest joys and he passed on his knowledge of working and farming to his children and grandchildren.

Bill liked to hunt squirrels, and to go mushroom hunting and raspberry picking. He taught the grandchildren to fish and enjoyed fishing trips to Missouri for many years. His family will remember him as a great dad. He was always there for them and always had a hug for them.

Bill was preceded in death by his wife Junella Fee in 2004; his sons: Leo and Roger; and siblings: Velma Perkey, Donald Keith Fee, Ross Fee, Vivian Light, and Veda Kendrick.

Surviving are his children: Grant (Ann) Fee of Melcher-Dallas, Alice Fee of West Des Moines, and Jeff Fee of Melcher-Dallas; daughter-in-law, Jackie Fee; 12 grandchildren: Natasha, Andrew, Lacey, Amanda, Kyle, Nathan, Josh, Sydney, Tanner, Tiffany, Billy, and Brett; and 5 great grandchildren. Also surviving are siblings: Dale Fee and Verda Allen.
