Technical Sergeant, U.S.A.F. retired Wayne L. Richardson, of Alamogordo, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday. March 26, 2002, in Alamogordo.

Richardson was born Dec 18, 1937, in Knoxville, Iowa, the son of Harold & Mable Oliver Richardson.

He retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1974. He honorably served in Korea and Vietnam. He was currently employed at Alamo True Value Home Center.

Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Carol Richardson, of the family home; his daughter Penny Hawk, and her husband, Terry, of Kirkwood daughter, Kim Fanders, and her husband, Doyle, of Denver, Colo.: a son, Brett Richardson, and his wife, Rosemarie, of Kodiak, Alaska; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three sisters, Ruth Pope, Doris Thomas, and Linda Verwoert all of Iowa: many nieces and nephews; close friends, Hearwolf and Becky Busham, Beverly Schell and many dear friends and church family.

Cremation has taken place and memorial services will be held Saturday, March 30, at 2 p.m., at Community Methodist Church in High Rolls/Mountain Park with Rev. Dr. Lowel Swisher officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may he made to the givers choice of organization in his name.
